Meet Our Sponsor, And Win an Adventure to the Galapagos Islands!

Nik and Dusty at Adventure Life

So couple of weeks ago we posted a blog that hopefully busted the somewhat popular myth that we’re just a super-wealthy fun-loving couple jet-setting around the globe without a care in the world. If you haven’t read that yet, click here to do that before you read this. It’ll help give you some perspective.

So then your question might be: if we’re not mega-rich… then how is it we get to do all of this very cool stuff?

Two words: Adventure Life.

As mentioned in that blog, we don’t really consider ourselves lucky to be doing what we’re doing. And we certainly don’t want to sound ungrateful when we say that, because that’s not the case at all. But we’ve dedicated our lives to traveling and we work our butts off every day to be able to do it. And luck? Well, luck just doesn’t have a lot to do with it. But there is one glaring exception: we’re very lucky that after all the work that we’ve put into building Two for the Road, shooting and editing videos, writing blogs and trying hard to sustain this dream of ours, that somebody noticed. And that somebody actually happened to be the very cool group of somebodys at a company called Adventure Life.

Adventure Life is a small but growing travel agency based in beautiful little Missoula, Montana. The company began humbly in 1999 when its founder Brian Morgan began organizing tours to South America flat-out on his own. And in the time since they’ve grown into one of the most respected and successful adventure travel agencies anywhere, helping thousands of people travel and experience some of the most incredible adventures in some of the most beautiful places on the planet. Better still, we’ve actually been to Adventure Life HQ in Missoula a couple of times and had the benefit of meeting these folks face-to-face. And they’re some of the coolest, friendliest, most fun-loving people we know.

So there you go. If you’ve followed us for any length of time you’ve no doubt seen the Adventure Life name attached to a lot of our posts, photos and videos. We’re super excited to have them on board as sponsors as we launch this little web series of ours, and proud to call them great friends. They’ve been our biggest supporters/fans/cheerleaders since the beginning, and we’re eternally grateful to the gang at Adventure Life for so many reasons.

Now, get this: the really cool part is that Adventure Life might… just might… be able to do for you, what they did for us: which is send you on what’s nothing short of an adventure of a lifetime.

Adventure Life is giving away an incredible trip for two to one of the most spectacular places on planet earth – the one and only Galapagos Islands – including a six-night cruise aboard this crazy cool boat called the Millennium. Check it out:

So you’ll find all the important details, instructions and links pertaining to the contest on the Adventure Life site by clicking on their contest page link here. But just to whet your adventure appetite, here’s a quick rundown of what’s involved:

– Start by joining the Adventure Life traveler community by creating a profile on the Adventure Life site.

– Write a series of five short blogs (with photos) for Adventure Life about a trip you’ve taken in the last five years. And no, it doesn’t have to be a trip taken with Adventure Life. We suppose just about any trip you’ve taken will do, but clearly the more interesting, more adventurous, and more inspiring the better. Think about a trip you’ve taken in the last five years that’s affected you in some way, that might be motivating to others, and/or a trip where you captured a few really cool photos. Each blog has to include at least three pictures, and be at least 200 words. [Okay, okay. So you say you’re not a writer. But c’mon. You know how many words 200 words is? The exact number of words between the above picture of the Millennium and right HERE. Seriously. That ain’t much.]

– Submit your blogs to the Adventure Life site by July 31st, share links to each of them on social media including the hashtag #MyAdventureLife, and get your friends, family and anyone/everyone in your social media circles to vote, vote, vote for your posts.

– Semi-finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges from the twenty blogs with the most votes on August 15th, and will be given four more weeks to get more votes to vie for the grand prize.

Exploring the Galapagos!

Important: the big prize does not include international airfare to Quito, Ecuador (the jumping off point for the Galapagos), nor does it include cash for your personal expenses. But it does include dang near everything else, including the cruise itself, round trip airfare between Quito and the islands, two nights’ hotel stay in Quito and airport transfers in Quito. Plus you actually have until September 30, 2016 to take the trip, so there’s plenty of time to save up for the plane tickets to get you down there.

Again, these are the highlights y’all. There’s more to it, so be sure to visit the actual contest webpage (click here) for all the details and legal stuff.

No, it’s not as easy as just clicking a button that says “Enter” and then waiting to find out if you’ve randomly hit the adventure lottery. But the good news? That means fewer people will actually take the time and effort to do it, and the better your chances of winning the big prize. That’s how we got started with Adventure Life. And heck, who knows? Even if you don’t win, it might light that fire under you to finally start writing a blog of your own, which obviously can lead to some pretty cool stuff if you’re down to really work at it. Who knows?

So we hope you’ll give it a shot. And just to throw a little more fuel on the fire, below we’re included a few pics from our own first trip to the Galapagos Islands a few months ago. And we can absolutely tell you that it is 100% as incredible as everyone says it is. Just. Freaking. Spectacular.

So, what do you say? Ready to do something extraordinary? It’s Adventure Motivation Monday. Go get ’em. 🙂

Cheers y’all!
