Photo of the Day: A Giant Tortoise Traffic Jam in the Galapagos

We were fortunate to see so many different types of rare and incredible animals during our Adventure Life cruise through the Galapagos Islands, but few creatures captured our hearts and our imaginations like the lovable Galapagos giant tortoises. This very cool shot was taken at the Centro de Crianza Arnaldo Tupiza tortoise breeding center near the town of Puerto Villamil on the island of Isabela, where they work to not only protect the species, but help re-populate them throughout the islands. Check out the short video from our tour of the facility – and learn a bit more about these animals- by clicking here. And have a great weekend! 🙂
