Stay Classy San Diego! And Thanks for a Terrific Time at the AAO!

[Posted April 24, 2017]

San Diego. Ahhhhhhh San Diego. Not just one of our favorite cities. It’s one of everybody’s favorite cities. Right? Even the greatest newsman of all time, the esteemed Ron Burgundy, says that San Diego (which may or may not translate to “a whale’s vagina” in German) is the greatest city in the history of mankind.

And while we wouldn’t necessarily go that far, we were of course super excited and extremely honored to have been invited to San Diego this past weekend to speak about video storytelling at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists, the organization’s largest yearly event that attracts roughly 18,000 attendees from all around the globe. Too cool!

This was actually our fifth straight year to be featured speakers at the AAO, and our second year to conduct actual hands-on video workshops for a limited number of folks looking to incorporate the power of video production and video storytelling into their marketing efforts. And we had an absolute ball. Both of our hands-on workshops ended up selling out, and we had a terrific crowd for our big presentation on video storytelling as part of the AAO’s “Mega Trends” speaker series that we helped kick off on Saturday morning. Our sincere thanks to everybody who came out, and especially for all the great questions and kind words!

And of course, our thanks to San Diego… for, well… being San Diego. Though we were only in town for a couple of action-packed days, we managed to take in a Padres game (and a tasty Hodad’s burger), had a few drinks with old friends in the Gaslamp Quarter, and even managed to take in some quick beach time on Coronado Island! And the weather was just dang-near perfect, of course. So, yeah. We had a great time. Check out some of the photos! Then scroll down for what’s next…

Next up? We’re headed for beautiful Huntsville, Alabama from May 3-7, where we’re honored to be speaking for the first time at TBEX North America 2017, which is the “largest conference and networking event for travel bloggers, online travel journalists, new media content creators, travel brands and industry professionals.” We’ll be talking about storytelling with video, how we shoot, edit and produce our shows, and a little about our journey from travel bloggers to having our own nationwide travel show on PBS! It’ll be a super cool time and we can’t wait.

Interested in having us speak at your next event? Holler at us! We love to get out and tell folks about our story, and how to use the power of video to connect with audiences and customers. So drop us a line anytime and let’s make it happen!

Cheers y’all! Have an excellent week, and as always safe travels!
