Photo of the Day: the Icy Blue Rivers of Perito Moreno Glacier

One of the most magnificent and mind-blowing things you’ll notice in and around glaciers and icebergs, is that they glow a brilliant bright blue color in places. So bright, and so blue, it’s honestly difficult to believe it’s not some sort of man-made (or alien) special effect. It’s simply magical and downright mesmerizing! We caught this very cool shot during our trek across Perito Moreno glacier in Patagonia, and this is actually a river of crystal-clear glacial water flowing out of a fissure of this crazy blue ice. Can you tell where the water’s surface is?
