Back home in Texas, we still have our cowboys. Our vaqueros. Though it’s true – there aren’t as many true cowboys remaining today, you still don’t have to look too far to find ’em. As the legend holds, cowboys are generally strong, honest, silent types – but very proud and certainly capable of kicking your ass when provoked. And it turns out the very same could be said for their Argentine counterparts.

One of the coolest things about our visit to the Estancia el Galpon near El Calafate, Argentina was being able to watch the gauchos and the dogs work the flocks of sheep out in the fields behind the estancia. The dogs especially!
