Okay… so… we’re calling this a podcast. But is it a podcast? Probably not. We reckon you could call it that. But it’s our first attempt at it, so as you watch/listen, please keep that in mind. And be gentle. And if you’d rather not watch the whole thing, and just want a quick read about “who we are,” check out this written post.

But we had fun putting this together, so we hope you’ll take time to watch! Since we’re about to launch our new TV show, we figured it’d be a good idea to introduce ourselves and tell you guys a little bit more about who we are and how we live and travel. But in doing that, we also figured it’d be a good idea to ask you guys what you’d like to know about us, versus us just rambling on for hours on end about stuff y’all aren’t interested in. So we got on our Facebook page a while back and asked you guys to send us your questions. And to our great surprise and delight, we wound up getting LOTS of great questions! So thanks y’all! And here’s our best attempt at answering most of ’em.

We say “most of ’em” because we got so many good questions we couldn’t really fit them all in without – like we said – rambling on for hours. Plus we got a bunch of great questions AFTER we filmed this podcast. So the plan is to do these things – and answer more of your questions – on a regular basis, and if we didn’t get to your question this time, we’ll fit it in next time. Or the next. But we’ll answer every one! That’s the plan anyway. We’ll just have to see how it goes.

So Who the Heck Are We? How Did We Meet? How Do We Travel?

Well friends, those are just a few of the many questions we’ll answer in this inaugural podcast. We’ll also talk about our very first trip together, how we manage our affairs at home while we travel, why the word “Texas” is one of the most powerful words we use while traveling, and many more! So kick back with your favorite beverage, relax, and we hope you’ll enjoy! And by all means if you have questions of your own, let us know! Leave your question in the comment section below, or send it to us directly on the “Contact Us” page. Either way, we’ll get your question and answer it as soon as we can!

Thanks bunches guys! And be on the lookout for the series premiere of Two for the Road on Panhandle PBS on Thursday, September 8th at 8:00 p.m.

Cheers y’all!

    • Thank you so much for the kind words! We SO appreciate it! We don’t have episodes for sale as of yet, but we do plan on offering them at some point. Be sure to subscribe to the website so you’re one of the first people to know. Until then though, I think Create will re-air the second season a few times. So hopefully you’ll be able to catch it. We haven’t been to Israel, Jordan, or Egypt but they are definitely on the list. So glad you had a great time! Thanks again for reaching out! And we’re so glad to hear you’ll be along for the ride! Cheers!

Having traveled on a budget to Europe and New Zealand, the main cost was getting there, paying for lodging (mostly in hostels), then paying for tours like the rapids in Costa Rica. We wanted to go to the Grand Tetons, but lodging and tours were too expensive. How do you pay for it? If sponsors, how do you get them?

    • Hey Karolyn! Thanks so much for reaching out! We definitely understand when it comes to traveling budgets. Our situation is a little different now with the TV show. We do try to secure underwriting/sponsors for the show and that helps – sometimes. We also usually work with tour providers that help in many ways. The Tetons are amazing and there’s all sorts of camping nearby which makes staying much more affordable. The tours are incredible, but just hiking, strolling around town, and driving around the area is pretty amazing too. We hope you get the chance to visit one day! Thanks again! Cheers! N+D
