Gonna Be a Happenin’ Night in Our Hometown! Come Join Us for the Season Three World Premiere Party!

[Updated September 21, 2019]

Season three is finally upon us guys! And to help ring in the new season in style, we’re throwin’ a big premiere party here in our little hometown of Clarendon, Texas! It’s coming up on Saturday, September 21st. It’ll be free. It’ll be super fun. And we’d absolutely love to see you there! So check it out…

As the poster on the right states [click it for the big version], we’re gonna kick it all off at 5:30 p.m. that Saturday night with a free ice cream social at Stocking Ice Cream Parlor in downtown Clarendon. Virginia and the good folks at Stocking will treat us all to a scoop of their amazing ice cream while we chat and hang out and listen to some music. Our friends from Panhandle PBS will be there as well with some groovy stuff for the little ones from PBS Kids! So bring the family!

At 6:30 p.m. we’ll wander literally just a couple of doors down to the beautifully restored Mulkey Theatre there in downtown Clarendon, where we’ll have a meet-and-greet reception before the big premiere. Come on down as we get ready for the show! We’ll have some awesome new Two for the Road merch for sale, Panhandle PBS will be there again with more goodies, Roger and the crew at the Mulkey will be running the concessions counter, and we’ll have free beer and wine for the grownups (giddyup!), courtesy of Larry and Karen at the Broken Road Junior liquor store in Clarendon. Cheers y’all!

Then at 7:00pm it’s time for the show! We are so proud and excited to premiere the first two episodes of Two for the Road season three, featuring our amazing adventure in beautiful Bolivia! Come along with us as we catch monster piranha in the Amazon, ride on the world’s most spectacular public transportation system, carry dynamite into one of the deadliest mines in the world, and speed across the other-worldly landscape of the world’s largest salt flat. It’s an adventure so big we had to split it into two episodes! And we can’t wait for y’all to see it! Each episode is a half an hour, and we’ll take a quick break in between them. And again, it’s an absolute honor to premiere these shows in our hometown and at the beautiful Mulkey Theater. Gonna be so cool!

Right about 8:00 p.m. or so, we’ll be joined on stage by Chip Chandler, Digital Content Producer for Panhandle PBS, who will moderate a live question and answer session, where we’d love to hear and answer everybody’s questions! Curious about what we do or how we do it? Let’s chat!

And depending on how long that goes – but we’ll say until about 8:30 p.m. – we’ll then head a few blocks east down Highway 287 to the Whistle Stop, home of the Whistle Stop Trade Days, for a big after party in the beer garden! There’ll for sure be adult beverages (and of course plenty of non-alcoholic drinks) for sale, a bouncy house for the kiddos, corn hole, washers, and the super sweet bluegrass sounds of The Jengals out of Amarillo to accompany us into the night. And our huge thanks to Kim and Jordan at the Whistle Stop for hosting us! Can’t wait!

Admission to everything is absolutely free, y’all. So come on down! We will have a donation box there at the Mulkey, and we’d love it if y’all wouldn’t mind donating five bucks per person (or more, if you’re feeling it) and we’ll give 100% of every dollar donated to the Donley County Community Fund. So it’ll be a super fun night, made a whole lot better if we can raise some money for our little community.

In any case, we’d just love to see you! Love to meet you! And love to show you what it is we’ve been working so hard on these last many, many months. So we sure hope you can make it!

Let y’all know more as soon as more details fall into place. So keep checking back! And we’ll look forward to seeing you in Clarendon on the 21st!

Cheers y’all!
