Where We Stayed: Migunga Forest Camp, Lake Manyara, Tanzania

[Click on the image above to watch the video] As if our epic first day on safari in Tanzania wasn’t cool enough, you can just imagine our delight when, at the end of the day, we rolled into the Migunga Forest Camp (also called the Migunga Tented Camp) just outside Lake Manyara National Park and got our first look at what would be our accommodation for the night. Situated on 35 acres of forest on the outskirts of the town of Mto Wa Mbu – and just five minutes from the entrance of the park –  the Migunga Forest Camp features 21 permanent tents on raised platforms, and each tent has its own private bathroom and private patio/deck overlooking the forest. And we can’t imagine a better way to end an incredibe day in Lake Manyara, than sitting outside your tent listening to the sounds of the forest as night falls. Enjoy this (very) short video tour of our room, and the grounds of the camp! Cheers y’all. And happy travels! our signature small

Love the tented room. How were the biting bigs when you were there?
Love your program and wonderful pictures of the trips I want to plan.

    • Thanks Joyce! It was such a neat place. And actually the bugs weren’t bad, even though we were there during the rainy season (April). And thanks for the kind words! Safe travels!
