Where We Stayed: Selva Bananito Ecolodge and Preserve

So we had the great benefit of staying in some really cool places during our adventure in Costa Rica, but none cooler than the Selva Bananito Ecolodge. And by the way – when they call it an “ecolodge” they mean that very seriously. As you saw in the episode, owner Jurgen Stein, his family and his team are very wholeheartedly committed to taking great care of the primordial rain forest that makes up the 2,000 acre property, to the extent that the scattering of cabins that make up the lodge itself are all designed to have as little an impact on the surrounding environment as possible.

Learn much more about the lodge, its fascinating history, and its impressive mission at the lodge’s website here. Meantime, check out a few of the photos we took of the property, and our room during our stay. Such a beautiful place. Hope to get back some day!

Cheers y’all! Happy travels…
